TCCS students in High School Intermediate Art classes are exploring art by creating independent projects. Students fill out an independent project proposal, which includes the medium/media of their choice, how much time they anticipate the project will take and sketches which include subject material. Once approved, and discussed with me, each student creates their own independent art. This way, each student can explore or experiment. Recently many of our students have decided to try hydro dipping objects and a senior decided to create marbling effects on canvases. The other students loved the marbling and many have decided to explore these processes and techniques as well. High school students have also created paintings and drawings inspired by weather, such as landscapes and even weather related inspirational quotes.
