k5 students created polar bear drawings. K5 created a sun, inspired by folklore and weather.
1st grade students created New Year’s resolutions. 1st grade students drew bulldogs using shapes and numbers for school choice week. Students listened to a song about whole body listening and discussed why it is important in the art room to listen, what we listen with (not just our ears, but eyes, feet, mouth too!). Then they drew Mr. Or Mrs. Potato head. Students created stamped snowflakes using found objects, inspired by weather.
2nd grade students created New Year’s resolutions. 2nd grade students drew bulldogs for school choice week. Students are learned about the solar system in Mrs. guerra’s room, therefore in art class, students created an oil pastel drawing of the solar system. Students learned about pop art, then created an oil pastel weather and pop art inspired drawing.
3rd grade students created created New Year’s resolutions. 2nd grade students drew bulldogs for school choice week. Students looked at Vincent vanGogh’s Starry Night painting, especially how he used curvy lines to create wind. Then they created an oil pastel landscape drawing inspired by vanGogh and Weather. One student even decided to draw Vincent vanGogh, have to love their enthusiasm.
